molly mutt: fill your duvet!

Wondering what you can use to fill your fabulous new Molly Mutt or molly meow duvet? The answer is "anything!" but here are some ideas to get you started:
old clothes are great for filling up your stuff sack. we all worn out clothes, sweatshirts, socks-without-a-partners & items we would rather forget we owned (ahem...lime green capris from that summer it seemed like such a good idea...work shirts from 1982 that you wore once & then hid...) also, by using your clothes to fill your bed, your dog or cat feels immediately comfortable because they love the way you smell, and this smell is all OVER your old stuff!

have a blanket you have been meaning to sew for ages? how about those sleeping bags that are leading a lonely life in the garage? what about those threadbare sheets & towels you don't use anymore? (thank you, pink knitter for the photo!)
we all replace the pillows we sleep on. use the kinda flattened ones you've slept on for 476 years into your new stuff sack & make a super comfy bed for the four-legged family members.
how about your old stuffed animals? those ones you meant to sell at the last garage sale? does your dog or cat tear his or her stuffed toys to shreds & leave the guts strewn out all over the place? throw all of these soft old toys into the bed! (thank you, four legged media & licked, the stuffed toy graveyard for the awesome idea! thank you, louise for the photo!))

polyfill or fiberfill is a cotton-y stuffing you can buy at craft stores like michaels, hobby lobby & ac moore. even wal-mart carries polyfill in it's craft department. our customers have found that using polyfill really helps to keep the bed fluffy. especially after your favorite dog or cat has been using the bed for awhile, it helps to make it feel new again!
